Title:
  software-center-gtk3 crashed with AttributeError in _append_new():
  'NoneType' object has no attribute 'query'

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Updated to latest 11.10 (daily updates), and then when i wanted to
  install skype, i opened the deb in usc and then it crashed. I dont
  remember using USC recently, but after that i am not able to open USC
  at all.
