Title:
evince takes many seconds to open a LOCAL pdf when network connection
is broken
Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evince
Opening a local pdf that normally needs 2-3secs takes about 10-15 when
my network connection suffers from excessive dropped packets (I
noticed it by accident but was able to reproduce easily with many
different pdfs)
Steps to reproduce:
make it so that you have 60% packet loss in your network connection e.g. by issuing:
tc qdisc add dev eth1 root netem loss 60%
and then try to open a pdf file from your disk
----
Ubuntu 10.04 fully patched
