Title:
Evince asks for password at the wrong time
Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evince
I've got a PDF document with Password Security enabled but set to ask password only for changing the permissions of the file. The Document Open Password setting is "no" as you can see in the image Acrobat_security.png in the attached zip file.
Adobe Reader X 10.0.1 on Windows XP handles the permissions correctly and doesn't ask for password when I open the file.
Evince on ubuntu 10.10 asks for password right away when I click to open the document. See the image Evince_security.png
Evince should ask for password only when I try to change it's permissions and let me see the file.
Unfortunately I cannot attach the PDF file because it's confidential
data of a customer. I hope the screenshots are enough to reproduce the
problem.
