Title:
Printing fails silently when pages out of range

Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evince

When selecting specific pages or page ranges for printing, it fails
silently if those pages are outside of the document's page range.
Print preview and printing to a file both behave exactly the same way.

This can be confusing, as a document may label its pages differently than the absolute page numbers required for printing (which is another bug altogether).
Specifically, I'm printing to a HP deskjet F2280 using evince 2.32.0 on ubuntu Maverick. The document labels its pages starting from 36 to 99. Trying to print any page greater than 64 (the absolute number of the last page) closes the dialog, shows no message, but prints nothing.

I would expect some sort of indication the page I'm trying to print is
invalid. I'm assuming even if the print dialog accepted correctly
numbered pages, it would still fail silently when an invalid number is
  selected.
