  gnome-display-properties crashed with SIGSEGV in g_value_init()

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

  To recreate this crash:
  1) sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf  Delete all the contents of the file.  But leave the file.
  2) Start System-> Prefrences->Monitor.
  3) Hit "Make Default" then hit "Apply".
  4) Close all windows.
