Title:
Gnome keyboard shortcuts for switching workspaces are ambiguous in
functionality
Status in “metacity” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
(I'm talking about the "Keyboard Shortcuts" window and its workspace
switching functions here, not sure what package they belong to -
metacity?.)
There are two kinds of workspace functions: "move window ..." and
"switch to workspace ...".
When I "move window one workspace to the left", it moves the window
AND switches the desktop.
When I "move window to workspace 2", it only moves the window; it
doesn't switch the desktop.
I think the two should do the same thing (probably switch desktops in
addition to moving the window), as their names suggest that they do.
(Gnome 2.16, Ubuntu 6.10.)
