Title:
  GNOME Sound Recorder not recording

Status in “gnome-media” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-media

  gnome-media 2.31.6-0ubuntu2 and alsa-utils 1.0.23-2ubuntu3.4 installed
Sound recorder and Audacity were not working at all. Before Audacity was able to record. Sound output worked well, but sound input didn't work at all. I tried to record with Sound Recorder (gnome-sound-recorder) and didn't record. If I pressed "Play sound" it responded: "The stream contains no data". Audacity also had a problem recording. However after a restart both Sound Recorder and Audacity were able to record audio.
