Title:
Gnome-keyboard-properties does not provide a method for mapping media
keys
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
The keys most susceptible to mis-mapping are the media keys. Case in
point: my Dell-branded Microsoft Natural Pro keyboard has mismapped
volume and play-control keys under every layout I've ever tried.
Media keys should appear on the layout images, and there should be a
mechanism to easily map them to their correct functions in the
keyboard properties applet.
For bonus points, USB keyboards should auto-identify.
