Title:
Problem while moving screens in the "monitor preferences"

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

I'm under Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop in 64 bits. I already had the same
  problem on the 10.04.

To have the bug, you necessarily need at least two screens with different resolutions.
I'll explain my case, with my laptop screen (resolution of 1280x800) and my TV which have a HD resolution : 1920x1080.

Steps to reproduce the bug :
  - connect the TV with VGA cable on my laptop
  - launch "monitor preferences" application
  - activate the TV
  - switch from left to right (or inversed) the laptop screen and the TV screen with drag and drop in the "monitor preferences" window. (for exemple : monitor preferences put the TV on the left by default. But in the real world, my TV is on the right of my laptop).
  - then there is a "hole" in the workspace of the bigger screen (TV in my case) and that hole seems to correspond to the bigger resolution minus the smaller one. That hole is black (it hides the wallpaper) and can't be used as workspace (this is not only a problem of hiding the wallpaper but really a piece of the workspace which is missing).

To "solve" the problem, I then need to decrease the resolution of the
TV screen. And increase it again to its real resolution (1920x1080).
At that point, I have my TV screen well configured!! Pffiou...
