  Unable to open BMP files with JPG extension

Status in “eog” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: eog

  Eye of gnome is unable to open BMP files with a JPG extension. It
  should instead interpret them as BMP files, and not fail to open them
  entirely.
