is that a new installation? which keyboard layout are you using? could
you attach your ~/.xsession-errors file to teh report after getting the
bug? also does that works fine in a new user profile created there?

  Cannot delete a file from Desktop with Del or CTRL+Del

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I find myself in the position not to be able to delete a file without
  permanently deleting it (Shift+Del) or using the right-click  options.
