Expectation: Date values in drop downs should be shown as dates
What happened: Values were shown as integers

  Procedure:
  1) Create a new spreadsheet.
  2) Highlight Cells A1,A2, and A3. Select Format->Cells, click Data, and Click OK
  3) Enter the following values in the following cells:
      A1: 1/1/2008
      A2: 1/2/2008
      A3: 1/3/2008
  4) Click on Cell A1. Select Data->Validity. Change Allow from "All Values" to "Cell range". Put A2:A3 in the Source Field, and click OK.
  5) Click on the dropdown arrow beside cell A1. The available values are printed as integers, where they should be shown in the proper date format.
