[Bug 815380] Re: Firefox does not remember scroll position
I can confirm this using a new profile on 3.6.21 on Lucid. It only seems
to occur on Google search pages when Instant Search is enabled. I'm not
sure if it's specific to Google or if it occurs on other dynamically
generated pages, but I haven't seen it happen anywhere else yet.
This does work as expected with 6.0.1 on Natty.

Title:
Firefox does not remember scroll position
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Ubuntu Release: 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx
Firefox Package: 3.6.18+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.2
To reproduce:
1) Use Google search, and type in a search term
2) Scroll down to bottom of page with the search results
3) Click last search result
4) Go back to search results
Expected to happen: You're returning to the search results page on the scroll position you left it.
Happened instead: You're returning to the top of the search results page instead, so you'll have to scroll back down again.
This is a problem that makes it clumsy to browse. Click link, go back,
scroll back down, repeat etc.
