Title:
broken pipe for Banshee in Unity

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

In Ubuntu Classic, Banshee works fine, playing songs and showing
notification bubbles. But on Unity, Banshee does neither and says that
a fatal error has been found, a "broken pipe [EPIPE]". It started
after trying to get Banshee notification bubbles to work on Unity by
ticking "sound integration menu" in edit>preferences>extensions and
unticking "show Banshee in sound menu" under Miscellaneous like
  suggested on http://askubuntu.com/questions/37622/banshee-doesnt-
  support-bubble-notifications-libnotify.

  I'm using Banshee 2.0.0-2ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 11.04.
