[Bug 840528] Re: Clock and writing settings in Ubuntu login display according to the second language exists in language support

 

Thanks for your effort to make Ubuntu better by reporting this
observation.

I'm not sure, but it seems like you may have missed that you need to
reboot for system wide settings to take effect. Logging out or switching
user is not enough to make the new first language be used on the login
screen.

Please let us know whether that comment is sufficient to explain the
behavior.

Bug description:
  Steps
  ---------
  1.Open System settings
  2.Select Language support
  3.Move language to be the second language in the list ex.Arabic
  4.Press "Apply system wide"
  5.Switch user 
  6.check clock language and writing direction

  Error appears: Clock and writing direction become in Arabic as it is
  the second language in the list although clock language and writing
  directions are in English in the other modules
