Title:
Screen is larger than monitor on virtualbox
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Ran a dist-upgrade on Trusty today on both my physical and virtual
hardware. Suddenly on my VM noticed that the display is ~100% larger
than the visible area. Physical machine runs fine.
Did a clean install in a new VM, everything looked OK on initial boot,
but on reboot the same problem occured
(ONLY ran the following commands before reboot:
sudo apt-get install openssh-server
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:autopilot/ppa && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install libautopilot-qt python-autopilot zsh vim openssh-client bzr python-gtk python-glade2)
Running xrandr gives output: "failed to get size of gamma for output
default"
LSHW:
devbox% sudo lshw -c VIDEO
