[Bug 1330141] Re: Aptana Studio 3 causes xserver to crash
halfbeing, as per <WEBSITE> an update to your computer's buggy and
outdated BIOS is available (BIOS). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?
If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't
have to create a new bug report.
Once the BIOS is updated, and the information above is provided, then
please mark this report Status New.
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Aptana Studio 3 causes xserver to crash
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I have been using Aptana Studio 3 3.4.1 today and it has caused my
xsession to crash several times. I find myself looking at an ASCII
console. This only happens when I am actively working with Aptana
Studio 3. It happens while doing various actions in Aptana such as
browsing directories or editing html files. it didn't happen the last
time I used Aptana, which was well over a year ago. There have been
reports on the web of Aptana crashing after upgrading to 14.04, but
none I can find mention the xserver dying.
What should happen: If Aptana has to crash the xserver should not come
down with it.
