an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available
(F.50). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?

If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

  plantage a la réouverture du capot du portable

  je suis actuelement sur un pc portable sous linux ubuntu 14 trusty avec une carte graphique AMD.
  j'utilise le pilote libre de Xorg qui comporte un bug récurent : quand je ferme le capot de mon pc il ce met alors en veille, quand je le réouvre il ce rallume sauf l'écran qui ne ce rallume pas malgré de nombreuse manips.
  je n'est alors pas d'autre solution que d'éteindre mon ordinateur en restant appuyer sur le bouton de demarrage.
