Since then, i've decided that i no longer wanted Ubuntu as an operating
system, especially since i was not been able to find any solutions online
nor assistance.

  Boot, on start up 'malformed file.. press any key to continue'

  installed and upgraded ubuntu 14.lts just last night - have not used
  it too much during the past 24 hours, and also have not modified any
