JP, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity
in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so,
could you please test for this with the latest development release of
Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-
live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg 1332873

Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes
button for attaching additional debugging information.

As well, given the information from the prior release is already
available, testing a release prior to the development one would not be
helpful.

Title:
  Unity UI ignores mouse input when Firefox is running in another
  logged-in account

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  This could either be an X bug, a Firefox bug, a Unity bug, or
  something else; filing here to start.

  Steps to repro:
  1. Log in as a normal user.
  2. Open Firefox to a normal browsing session (multiple tabs, etc).
  3. Select "Switch Account" from the top right settings menu and log in as another user on the system

  Observe: The Unity sidebar and top bar doesn't accept mouse clicks.
  Logging back into the first account, closing Firefox, and logging back
  in to the second account restores proper function.

  Expected result: Unity always responds to mouse input.
