[Bug 1428214] Re: FF: 36 - last window (of 6): no context menu + long lag for mouse/keyboard navigation

Update:

I have now discovered that the bug also results in not being able to bring up Firefox's menu (from the button on the right)
or the menu from the two addons that provide buttons on the address bar line, nor can I bring up the bookmarks menu (clicking on the bookmark this page button immediately results in a green arrow leading to the bookmarks icon).
The address bar works, and the reload icon functions, but the address bar menu triangle (just to the left of the reload icon), does not bring up the menu.
The previous/next tab buttons on the left and right of the tab line function, as does the new tab button. The button that is supposed to bring up a menu of all the tabs does not do so.

Also, I note that no tooltips appear when i hover the mousepointer over
any of the Firefox- or plugin- related widgets.

I hope that this is useful to someone.

Title:
FF: 36 - last window (of 6): no context menu + long lag for
  mouse/keyboard navigation

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I do not know in which version this bug manifested. Until #36, I had
been stuck using #28, as all subsequent versions crashed when first
starting up (I had 9 or so windows with lots of tabs, but whether that
was the issue I don't know - #28 had no problems with it, all that
came after were VERY slow to start up, and then crashed. With #36, I
cleaned things up - only 6 windows, and not so many tabs - it comes up
rather quickly and does not crash, but...)

All windows but the last work as expected.

Links, when right-clicked in the last window, do not display a context
menu, and nothing happens. I normally only use the menu to open a
link in a new tab, or once in a while, a new window. I can still do
this by holding down the control- or shift- key while left-clicking on
the link (a keyboard shortcut I just discovered, on a guess, when I
found I could not do it the normal way).

Also, if I use the navigation keys (or scroll-bars), or scroll-wheel,
there is a (sometimes very long) lag between when I try to navigate in
that direction, and when FF actually does so.
