Updating to 14.04.2 and activating the new HWE Stack with new Kernel and
XOrg fixed the problem for me.

Bug description:
  [drm:radeon_dp_link_train_cr] *ERROR* clock recovery tried 5 times
  [drm:radeon_dp_link_train_cr] *ERROR* clock recovery failed

  After the monitor goes into sleep mode for more than a few minutes I
  can't get him awake again without restarting the pc.

  The bug is reproducable.
  The monitor (Dell UltraSharp U2412M) is connected via display port to the grafic card (Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 1GB).
  The bug was not in Ubuntu 12.04 lts.
