Title:
lightdm has no flashing cursor for entering password

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Admittedly minor, but the lightdm greeter just shows an empty white
area of text for entering a password during login (on both my laptop
and in guest VMs), so it isn't clear to the user that the password
area is focused, ie ready to accept a password. Feedback *is* given as
the user types characters in, but the lack of flashing cursor is a
  regression compared to gdm-greeter.
