Issue persists in 14.04 fresh install.  Keyboard layout needs to be
changed to US or else remmina will not work.

Status in remmina package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Has been the same issue for years.  If the keyboard layout on install
  is selected as South Africa (maybe other counties too) then Remmina
  will not work.  I have to go to /etc/default/keyboard and change
  XKBLAYOUT="za" to XKBLAYOUT="us" and then it works fine.
