[Bug 1435269] Re: System does not suspend when lid closed

I have the same problem with my Vivid installation. The laptop is a HP ProBook 470 G0.
When I close the lid, there are cases when it suspends, but in most of the cases it doesn't.

The journalctl -b is attached, the journalctl -f shows this when the
suspend is ok:

Title:
System does not suspend when lid closed

Status in unity-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Under Utopic closing the laptop lid would suspend the system. Since a
Vivid upgrade this no longer happens (the external screen goes blank
for about a second, then the desktop comes back as before)

The system power settings show "When lid is closed: suspend" as
  before, it just gets ignored.

The menu "suspend" option does suspend correctly.
