[Bug 1439786] Re: Max resolution of 1024x765 with Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M
Just started Ubuntu live CD to see if the problem is also there. Using the live CD I can see a different xrandr output:
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 8192 x 8192
LVDS-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
eDP-1 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 350mm x 190mm
1920x1080 60.0*+ 60.0 50.0 48.0
1680x1050 60.0
1400x1050 60.0
1280x1024 59.9
1280x960 59.9
1152x864 60.0
1024x768 59.9
800x600 59.9
640x480 59.4
720x400 59.6
640x400 60.0
640x350 59.8
133x1528 95.7
DP-3 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
VGA-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
This seems much more correct to me. Using the live CD a little bit there
is some sort of flickering which is sometimes visible when moving around
the mouse pointer or open windows.

Title:
Max resolution of 1024x765 with Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
As requested in https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-
ubuntu/+bug/1314367 I open a new bug for my system.
After a fresh installation of Vivid I only have a resolution of
1024x768.
Using xrandr and a custom xorg.conf file I might be able to get a
bigger resolution (not finished testing it now).
