Title:
ctrl-mousewheelup reduces font size; should increase it
Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser:
Invalid
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Moving the mouse wheel away from the user (the physical motion that
is normally mapped to scrolling up, i.e., moving the viewport up, i.e.,
moving the text down relative to the viewport) while the control key
is held down ought to move the viewport "forward" and thus make the
text appear larger; it ought to increase the font size. This is how
Opera and Nautilus interpret ctrl-mousewheel motions. However,
firefox (presumably following IE) adopts the opposite convention,
which is inconsistent with nautilus and found to be counterintuitive
by some people. I would like to see firefox follow the Opera/Nautilus
convention or at least be configurable to do so.
