[Bug 1268257] Re: nvidia-331-updates 331.38-0ubuntu3: nvidia-331-updates kernel module failed to build, with only error: "objdump: '... .tmp_nv.o': No such file"
Dpkg-reconfigure does not seem to work.

After this, trying to login on gdm (gnome-session and system-default-session), a black screen appears.
After logging on tty0, I got:
Failed to start unit user@1000.service
>From there, I restarted gdm service and I was able to loggin.
However the problem persists after rebooting.

This seems to fix it (at least for one version upgrade) for many
people
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-331
after that...
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-331-uvm
(some users may be on the versions of these packages suffixed with
-updates )
