[Bug 1441423] Re: printers not listed
Is system-config-printer showing the local print queues (communicating
with the local CUPS daemon)? system-config-prnter can be configured to
manage a remote CUPS daemon.
Is your web interface displaying your local CUPS setup (URL:
http://localhost:631/...)? You can easily end up in a remote machine's
CUPS web interface by clicking on a remote CUPS printer.
Do you have machines running CUPS 1.5.x or older in your network? If
not, you do not need to make cups-browsed to do legacy CUPS
broadcasting. It is enough to keep only the line "BrowseRemoteProtocols
dnssd cups" as non-comment line in /etc/cups/cups-browsed.conf.
