[Bug 1443470] Re: Akonadi depends on mysql
Ok. Our dependency on mysql is indeed too explicit there. I'll see what
we can do.

Title:
Akonadi depends on mysql
Status in akonadi package in Ubuntu:
In Progress
Status in akonadi source package in Trusty:
Triaged
Bug description:
I'm using Kubuntu 14.04.2 and I am having trouble removing the MySQL
package because akonadi-server depends on akonadi-backend-mysql, so
when I remove that package the entire KDE goes away.
I can't just change akonadi to use SQLite because I still can't remove
the akonadi-backend-mysql. Isn't there a way to allow removing mysql-
server without removing akonadi, or remove akonadi without removing
the entire KDE?
Thanks.
