[Bug 1407667] Re: file-roller is not able to extract .rar , even when the needed package is installed

 

I need to install unrar and remove rar to extract rar in file-roller.
Don't know why do I have to remove rar. Since I don't create rar files. that won't be a problem for me.

Bug description:
  file-roller is not able to extract a .rar file, even when the needed compomemt for is installed on the System.
  The attemped end with a error popup that informs the user that it is not possible to extract the file.

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Use the attached .rar file(see below)
  2.Install the rar package to the system
  3.Run file-roller to extract the .rar file.
  4.See the error pop up.

  Expected:

  File-roller should be able to extract .rar files, when the needed
  component(rar) is installed.
