Title:
choppy visual, slow, glitchy
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Since download of new version of Ubuntu (14.04) in the last week or
so, computer is painfully slow, will not display properly, delays
commands (i.e. click on something and it can take up to 30 seconds to
load), video doesn't stream, applications glitchy and type loads
slowly. Mouse won't traverse extended desktop.
Only 17.5 GB of 129 GB hard drive in use, and only a few peripherals.
It's like the RAM is all used up with something.
System testing crashed.
Even just moving some files around, with no applications open, it
crashed claiming no memory to diagnose and send error report for
program called "compiz" (or something like that).
Opened terminal to try to revert to Lucid as per instructions, but
won't recognize password.\
Any way I can 'system restore' to the previous version?
