[Bug 1437411] Re: Keyboard layout indicator shows wrong layout
Same problem after Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 clean installation. Shortcut
"Modifiers-only switch to next source"(allow set combinations like
"Shift+Alt") works incorrect. "Switch to next input source" and "Switch
to previous input source" works fine, but doesn't allow set combinations
like "Shift+Alt" through GUI.
Workaround. Disable "Modifiers-only switch to next source" and manually
set "Switch to next input source" and "Switch to previous input source".
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources xkb-options "[]"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-input-source "['<Alt>Shift_L']"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-input-source-backward "['<Alt>Shift_R']"

Title:
Keyboard layout indicator shows wrong layout
Status in gnome-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I have two keyboard layous: English (en) and Russian (ru).
The problem is that when I switch to either of those via the keyboard
shortcut (Alt+Shift in my case), the layout indicator shows the
opposite layout. That is, I'm typing English letters, but it shows
"ru"; likewise, when it shows "en" the input language is actually
Russian.
If I switch laoyout through the indicator itself, the language is set
correctly.
