I appear to be having the same problem after the upgrade I think, the
unresponsive white window, though banshee does start eventually after
about 15 minutes or so. I'll attach the debug output, it appears that
banshee is taking an awful long time to run some queries against it's
database.

Bug description:
  I upgraded to the newest version yesterday. Some times it ran
  yesterday but i had some issues too. Today I cannot run it at all.
  When I start it from terminal  I get amongst others:

  [Info  10:07:03.122] All services are started 0.997291

  But all I get is an unresponsive white window. I will attach the
  entire terminal output bellow.
