Title:
[Samsung R50 /w ATI x1250] artifacts with radeon driver

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Issue persistent but changes, depending on distro (Ubuntu - white
stripes cover panel and dash; kubuntu - fails to update screen when
resizing panel and performance issues; elementary - stripes randomly
pop up after entering sleep mode and resuming, slow performance; mint
  - fails to draw certain charaters properly) which results in
completely cutting me off from linux.

radeon driver description on x.org says card is supported.

  - fglrx doesn't help but slows everything down significantly.
  - drm doesn't show any errors/issues with graphics.

After searching, I've found several users with same problems, all on
ATI x1250 (RS600M card) but nobody actually fixed it.
