Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gedit

Gedit doesn't offer syntax highlighting for IDL scripts (i.e., .pro
files). An IDL highlighting option seems to be available but enabling
it (View -> Highlighting Mode --> Sources) doesn't do anything. I'm
currently using Ubuntu 10.10 but have had the same problem since 7.04.

btw, It works automatically in Kate
