[Bug 305329] Re: laptop wifi no recognize ethernet printer

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. Ubuntu 8.10 is no longer
supported, it would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently
supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue,
kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect -p cups 305329
and provide the output from these steps:

Title:
laptop wifi no recognize ethernet printer

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

  Hi,
My laptop Asus F8SV with "Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)" don't found Ethernet printers (HP Deskjet 5850 and Epson 3000) who are in the same lan under Intrepid Ibex.
  With CUPS, it's same problem.
With M$, it's OK; these printers are identified without problem.
  Best regards
  Laurent
