[Bug 502778] Re: printer stops after processing job
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. Ubuntu 9.10 is no longer
supported, it would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently
supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue,
kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect -p cups 502778
and provide you cups error log after trying to print as described here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems#CUPS_error_log

Title:
printer stops after processing job
Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: kdeutils
I installed the driver from HP and since then I can't print anymore.
Kubuntu sees the printer, it's listed in CUPS and it my printer reacts
to printing command. It process the job and then stops. In my printer
manager I see the job being process and then it shows "job stopped".
Have no idea what are the packages but I'm using Kubuntu 9.10
(64bits).
