[Bug 418336] Re: ppp-udeb missing on alternate install CD

It is still missing in 14.04. This is ridiculous. Debian installer has
no problems with pppoe support in and "friendly" Ubuntu one has. What a
shame.

Title:
ppp-udeb missing on alternate install CD

Status in ppp package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ppp-udeb

  Hello,

The ppp-udeb package used to be available on the alternate install CD
up to 8.10. Since 9.04 (and up to 9.10-alpha4) this package is no
longer on the CD image. Because of that, installation over a ppp line
  is no longer possible.
