  History is very slow to load

Status in software-center package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  software-center 5.0.1.5, Ubuntu 11.10
  software-center 5.6.0-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu 13.04

  1) Run software-center
  2) Click on "History"

  Actual result: it takes 67 seconds to display history.

  Expected result: either
  * the history displays within 5 seconds, or
  * the history is displayed progressively, or
  * a determinate progress bar is shown rather than just a spinner.

  For comparison, history in Synaptic is displayed instantaneous.

  More information: my oldest history log is dated October 7, 2010.
