Title:
  'Ryzom' installation is dodgy

Status in software-center package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Installing Ryzom is not an intuitive or a human-friendly process.

The installer did not show the total progress, so I had no idea how
long will it actually take to finish. This is not acceptable to
someone on a notebook who might need to be going places and wants to
know whenever he had the time to finish the download or not. I did
find out through googling that it downloads to ~/.ryzom/data and I
could keep track of the file growing - but that is not human friendly.

After it downloaded, the installer dialog simply went away and nothing
was shown in it's place. I tried launching Ryzom because I had a
shortcut created for it in Unity - it said failed to unpack files -
echoing what the latest review for the app in USC is saying. Then it
  said the error again.

... only after that did it say that it started patching and launched
  the game.
