[Bug 444282] Re: baobab should be aware of ecryptfs private directories
I can confirm this issue, but only when you scan `/`.
When you scan `/home/<user>/` it works as one would expect.
It's hard to tell if this is "working as intended" since the
`/home/<user>/` option works, and the `/` scans as if the home folder
weren't mounted with encryptfs.
While it may confuse newer users, perhaps adding a prompt that says,
"Hey, I see you're using encryptfs. Want me to treat your filesystem the
way it is, or the way encryptyfs is trying to present it?" instead of
having this inconsistency may help.

Title:
baobab should be aware of ecryptfs private directories
Status in gnome-utils package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-utils
When using private directories, Baobab creates separate entries for
the true filesystem (in ~/.Private) and the virtual filesystem (in
~/Private). The problem is more visible with a large ratio of files in
private compared to out of it. At the least, one of these directories
should be hidden.
