Title:
Volume control hotkeys don’t work while the login sound is playing
Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-session
GNOME plays the login sound before it starts to listen to the volume
control hotkeys, so the login sound can’t be muted or quieted. It
should wait to play the login sound until the volume control hotkeys
are working.
I’m using maverick (but this has been true in every Ubuntu release I
remember).
