Title:
sorting of processes in ascending or descending order messes up when a
  new process is executed

Status in “gnome-system-monitor” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

I use gnome system monitor always sorted in descending order, by
application's RAM usage. But it's pretty annoying that when a new
process is executed, it reaches the top of the process list,
  overriding my preferences.

I've attached a screenshot showing g-s-m sorted as I already
explained, and 2 processes that are placed where they shouldn't, after
opening banshee and shutter (the screenshot tool).

I think this could qualify as a papercut, I don't know.
