hi Alfred,

thanks for the suggestion. have been relying on scp the file and lpr on
remote.

now, i think i got it working? attached cupsd.conf.

some sites that i looked at before i got it working

for the filter failure on remote printer, read in some mailing lists
about using raw queue to avoid double conversion on both client and
server side? although been doing same setup on adding remote printer on
previous versions of cups and everything was ok. on cups webgui, the
remote printer's make and model is indicated as "Remote Printer".



remote cups server 1.6.1 / ubuntu 12.10
client cups server 2.0.2 / lubuntu 15.04

  1.
  system-config-printer is not showing all printers listed in cups web interface.

  2.
  print dialog of applications not showing all printers listed in cups web interface.

  3.
  lpstat -a (same result as in 1., 2.)
