  blank screen if you change user and then you terminate session

Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-session

  If you switch your user login to another user and then, from this
  last, you terminate the session you should return to the previous
  login or, at least, you should be prompted for gdm login but you will
  see a blank screen. At this point you cannot switch to ttys, nor
  restart X, but you have to restart the whole system (pressing ctrl-
  alt-can more than one time).

  Tested with 10.04
