Title:
  Annoying issue when moving application windows

Status in “metacity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: libmetacity-dev

  Hi,

  I came across this issue quite often and now as I managed to spend
  some time to understand the issue, am raising this bug.

  The problem is when (gnome desktop)
  1) open any application (make sure it appears in normal size)
  2) with mouse, double-click on the title bar to maximize the window
  3) open another application (which overlaps on top of the previous window)
  4) Now again with mouse, try to drag the new application window
  - I notice the first windows get dragged instead!

  And also at step [2] above, instead of double-click, if I use
  ALT+SPACEBAR and choose "maximum", then things are fine.

  I have also attached video of above issue.

  Here quick info of my system:
  $ uname -a
  Linux xxx 2.6.32-26-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Wed Nov 24 10:14:11 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

  $ gnome-about --gnome-version
  Version: 2.30.2
  Distributor: Ubuntu
  Build Date: 06/25/2010

  $ metacity --version
  metacity 2.30.1
