  Pulseaudio seems to have crashed

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Audio stutters and becomes out of sync with video playback in both VLC
  and Firefox via flashplayer (Youtube and Funnyordie videos). This
  started happening a few months ago after an update, but I'm not sure
  which update.
