Title:
Sound preferences – Hardware Device – Disappears Sporadically [HDA-
Intel - HDA NVidia] pactl stat failed to find default card
Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Version: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Package Version: Synaptic 0.63.1 using apt
I logged out of one User ID into another and did not have any sound
output. Periodically logins will lose the Hardware Device on their
Sound Preferences (as is the case with this bug report).
I am running Ubuntu 10.04. Since install the Hardware Device
disappears periodically from one or all user desktops (there are three
user id's in use). The only way to restore sound is to reboot.
