Title:
screen corruption on resume after suspend
Status in xserver-xorg-video-ati package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Hi all.
Upon resume after a suspend, the screen gets corrupted. It is still readable (and usable) but the graphical output is like covered with a fine grid of vertical white lines, each (apparently) 1px wide, interleaved with 1px lines from the underlying real image, so that the effect is similar to a grayed-out image. Mouse is visible (and working). Writings are (almost) visible too, so that the the system is (hardly) usable, but the only way to restore proper video functionality is reboot. Useless to switch to a text-only tty and back (ctrl-alt f2 followed by alt f7).
